Kennedy-Era Shari Lewis, Lamb Chop, & Charlie Horse Debate Whether or Not Girls Can Be President

(And Charlie Horse Settles Once and For All: President Kennedy Was Not a Girl!)

Half-way through this early clip from the Shari Lewis Show in the 1960s, the beloved ventriloquist helps Lamb Chop and Charlie Horse (who are playing house) settle whether or not girls could ever be President of the United States.

Choice quote from Lamb Chop: “Thirty-five Presidents, all men, and not one could do the job right! If they had gotten just one girl, she would have been enough!”

We couldn’t agree more Lamb Chop!
